Amy’s professional experience includes a Bachelor’s degree in Substance Abuse and Addiction from Grand Canyon University, as well as a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Her education and experiences have uniquely prepared her in the counseling field.

Amy has a diverse background in various professional settings, including partial hospitalization, inpatient care, community mental health, and military bases. She has experience working with a range of populations, including adults, adolescents, military personnel, veterans, and their families. As a military spouse, Amy has a deep understanding of the unique challenges and transitions faced by those in the military community and their families. In addition, Amy and her family maintains strong connections within the sports community and prioritizes community engagement within the sports organizations due to its numerous benefits, such as promoting physical and mental well-being, fostering social unity, and facilitating personal development.

Amy employs an eclectic therapeutic approach, customizing treatment plans utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Psychodynamic, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Amy is a specialized telehealth therapist who focuses on providing individual therapy for adults dealing with substance abuse/addiction, stress/trauma, relationship trauma, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, perinatal, sport performance, and professional counselor clinical supervision towards independent Arizona licensure.
